As per Tim Kuniskis, Ram’s CEO, the focus of this new 1500 is to cater to truck enthusiasts seeking more power. With a selection of gas engines and an upcoming electric model, their aim is to cover a broad spectrum of preferences. The newly introduced 3.0-liter Hurricanes are indeed remarkable, with one rated at 420 horsepower and another at an impressive 540 horsepower, showcasing significant engine prowess.
However, beyond sheer power, this truck showcases remarkable capabilities. It boasts a towing capacity of 11,580 pounds, a payload of up to 2,300 pounds, and the ability to ford through 24 inches of water—an impressive feat.
Adding to the lineup, the new top-tier Tungsten model will join other familiar names like Tradesman, Big Horn/Lone Star, Laramie, Rebel, Limited Longhorn, and Limited models. Keep an eye out for the Ram 1500 RHO, which is set to join the lineup in Q3 2024, further elevating the off-road and performance aspects.
Yet, the appeal extends beyond the mechanics. This truck offers a blend of technology and style, boasting an ultra-modern design and an interior loaded with cutting-edge features such as the Uconnect 5 system equipped with a substantial 14.5-inch touchscreen, a passenger screen, a digital instrument cluster, and even Hands-free Driving Assist for advanced automated driving.
Ram’s future plans extend beyond this launch. They are preparing to introduce the all-electric Ram 1500 REV by the end of 2024 and a Ram 1500 Ramcharger with an extended range later on. This commitment underscores their dedication to innovation and a greener, more sustainable future.
