This combo cranks out 268 horsepower and 295 lb.-ft. of torque, and the top speed is 140 miles per hour. All-wheel drive is standard fare on all Hornet trims. If you opt for one of the plug-in hybrid trims, your Hornet draws its get-up-and-go from the 15.5kWH lithium-ion battery and the 1.3-liter turbo 4-cylinder PHEV engine that’s combined with a six-speed shiftable automatic transmission. This engine will generate up to 288 horsepower and 383 lb.-ft. of torque, can achieve a top speed of 128 miles per hour, and will launch from zero to 60 in 5.6 seconds. Gone are the days of weak electric engines!
