The 2024 Jeep Wrangler 4xe is offered in six distinct trims, which include two new trims – the Sport S 4xe and the Rubicon X 4xe. The 4xe has gone through some nice updates, including changes to the seven-slot grille’s look and the addition of the optional, factory-installed Warn® winch that has an 8,000-pound capacity.
Each trim is equipped with a 2.0-liter turbo I4 PHEV direct injection engine with dual overhead cams that are mated with an eight-speed automatic transmission. This combo cranks out 375 horsepower and 470 lb.-ft. of torque. The Wrangler 4xe can tow up to 3,500 pounds when properly equipped. The all-electric range is up to 21 miles on a fully charged battery. The battery charges when braking and decelerating.
Charging is a breeze. Level 1 charging takes about 12 hours. However, when you use the Level 2 charging cable, it takes about two hours to fully charge the battery. You can purchase a Level 2 PHEV home charging station and charge your Jeep Wrangler 4xe at home. Jeep is working on installing solar-powered charging stations on major trails in the U.S. The Wrangler 4xe is a true off-road wizard and can ford up to 31.5 inches of water.
